Western Editions set up a watercoloring station for guests to customize their own note cards.
In case you missed True & Co.'s Try-On Truck stop in SF, there were cute bralettes for sale.
The founders of Pique Tea, which launched last month, were on hand to talk up their artisan crystals.
Pique Tea offered tastes of their healthy elixirs, including Jasmine and Earl Grey teas.
Joshu + Vela founder Noah Guy was on hand to show off his beautifully made urban totes and satchels.
Every new year begins with a pile of good intentions—get in shape, find a new hobby, de-stress already! This year, 7x7 gave readers a chance to kickstart their resolutions with a day of classes, activities, and tastings at Equinox Sports Club San Francisco.
On Saturday, January 23, stylish sporty types on a mission to rev up 2016 descended upon Equinox's Market Street club with the goal of starting the new year fresh. A series of three meditation sessions, lead by Digital Detox's Camp Grounded, filled up instantly, as did the one-hour bootyriffic Best Butt Ever class hosted by one of the gym's top instructors.
But guests need not have worn their Lululemon to participate in a cool, free class. It gal about town Taylor Reid, cofounder of Western Editions, was on hand with watercolors, brushes, and cards to help guests create their own custom notes. (For anyone seeking a new hobby, WE teaches workshops in everything from making woodtype Valentines to calligraphy.)
With so much activity, we also needed to indulge. The Spa at Equinox provided mini facials and massages to help our hardworking readers relax, and delicious tastings were on offer from SF's newest artisanal beverage brand, Pique Tea, and our beloved Dandelion Chocolate. A bite of Venezuelan dark chocolate with a sip of Earl Grey? Yes, please!
A few of our favorite San Francisco fashion brands also joined the party with pop-ups stocked for shopping. Joshu + Vela showed off beautiful day bags all handcrafted in the Mission; Ketums celebrated the local revival of its French heritage brand with a display of the nicest rain jackets you've ever seen; and True & Co. exposed their lacy underpinning with bralettes for sale and samples of lingerie that are now available for perusing in their newly launched Try-On Truck. Ooh la la!
Needless to say, our friends went home worked out, chilled out, well fed, and beautified. We think that's starting the new year right. Here's to your best year yet!
