Buy Our July Neighborhoods Issue Cover as a Poster
For our July Neighborhoods issue, we commissioned Potrero Hill artist Wendy MacNaughton to draw a "psychological map" of SF neighborhoods for the cover and capture moments on Muni for our public transportation story. We couldn't be more delighted with the results. Says 7x7's Executive Editor Robin Rinaldi, "I love Wendy's art. It's gorgeously rendered, melancholy yet playful, clever yet sincere. Her 'mental map' of the city is my favorite cover of 7x7 ever."
We're so enamored with the cover that we've decided to offer them for sale as an art poster. You can also find the posters at the following retail locations.
- Books Inc (Opera Plaza and Market Street)
- Green Apple Books
- Alexander Books
- Chronicle Books (Metreon and Union Street)
- SFMOMA

Bayview is on the map ... see Hunter's Point ...
There's probably less violence in the Presidio than any other neighborhood, but I will stand corrected if you can tell me which one neighborhood is the safest.
Chinatown IS in the map, in the area called "tourists." Btw, I know more Chinese people that live in the Sunset than in Chinatown...
Love the map! Please people, keep in mind that this is subjective and a psychological interpretation ... at ease!
Ahh.. Thanks, however we are all sold out of the posters now. Sorry!
Can this poster be ordered through 7x7?
Would like to order this poster as well but cannot figure out how to since there is no "order" button. Please advise me on how to order. Thank you.
I want to study the picture for a while and figure out what it is that I'm offended by. There must be something. I'll get back to you.
Great poster - just got #194 from Alexander's book downtown, they had 1 left. Books Inc Opera plaza has an unsigned version as well if someone wants to jump on it before its gone.
Anonymous who posted above first needs to get a life - charging racism because the artist did not include your ethnic group is petty at best. Does every poster have to be cleared by your internal checklist before us common folks can say we like it?
I feel deeply offended seeing Chinatown, a historical part of San Francisco (one of the oldest neighborhoods), excluded from the map. Something so beautifully crafted doesn't seem so beautiful anymore when it appears like a racist act. Even "Pigeons" and "Strip Clubs" landed a spot on the map. Chinese folks don't seem worthy enough to be included. It would have been nice to be included. Shame on you Executive Editor Robin Rinaldi and artist Wendy MacNaughton for being culturally insensitive.
Um, where the hell is bayview? and why is the whitest neighborhood (marina) deemed the safest?
been trying to order for a couple days and keep getting an error?
I've tried ordering several times and there's an error each time...?
This looks cool and was gonna get this, until I noticed there is no Mission Bay, where I will be moving in the near future. =\
I would like to order this poster but signed. Are they available?
Sorry, theres a button there now!
How do I backorder this poster through 7x7mag.com? Doesn't clearly explain above?
