Sidewalk Chic: High-low Mix in Union Square

By

Name: Slo Casasola

Age: 22

Occupation: Fashion Merchandiser at Shotwell

Spotted: Shotwell and Harputs Market Party at Shotwell boutique, 7:12 P.M.

Wearing:
YSL rolling sneaker, vintage bow-tie, H&M denim, Zara cardigan, YSL button down. "I just threw this outfit on because I was in a hurry to get to the party. I always want to stand out but at the same time look simple."

Where do you look for style inspiration? "I look to the models of Dior Homme, Marc Jacobs, A.P.C., Comme des Garcons, YSL, my friends from NY, Gossip Girl, style.com, Gap magazine, Paper, and lookbook.nu for my style inspirations. It's like my body is the canvas and all the rad clothes out there whether designer or not, is my paintbrush. I always want to push it to the edge and come out looking different. I hate the generic hipster look everyone is trying to pull these days."

Item that you’d sacrifice a few months rent for: "Anything Karl Lagerfeld and a huge collection of Goyard luggage and trunks"

If you could only wear one designer for the rest of your life, who would it be? "This is a hard one because I would have list a local designer, amateur designer, as well the top notch designer. I'm not one to name drop but i love YSL and Marc Jacobs. It would probably be between the both of them. Hey, you get three really rad designers considering Marc Jacobs is for Louis Vuitton."

Why we love his look: Casasola's skillful mix of designer, vintage, and affordable wares equals an inspiring look that is truly San Francisco.
