Win your way into a $2 million dream house

Once upon a time, you either had to be a Real Housewife, a Girl Next Door, or Oprah to afford your dream house. Now, all you need is $150 and a little luck.

Starting today, the Marin Dream House Raffle is selling tickets for a chance at winning a $2 million ocean-view property in Larkspur. While visions of your 1-bedroom monthly rental dance in your head, you may be wondering what goes into a $2 million house. Well, for starters, 3,200 square feet offering wrap-around views of Mt. Tamalpais and the Bay. Add in 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a private elevator, a gourmet kitchen with Viking appliances, white oak hardwood floors, crown molding, an outdoor terrace, and much more, and you might get an idea.

How could the deal get any sweeter? You can consider yourself a do-gooder by purchasing a $150 ticket. All proceeds will support Community Action Marin, which works to meet the needs of low-income individuals, families and children in Marin County.

The Grand Prize drawing will take place February 20, 2010, and the lucky winner can chose the Dream House or $1.6 million in cash. But don’t wait too long—buy your ticket now and have a shot at some early bird cash prizes (we’re not talking measly parting gifts—first prize in October’s drawing is $25,000). Over 370 other goodies are also available, and there’s a 1 in 100 chance to win something.

So what are you waiting for? Hugh Hefner’s got enough girlfriends. Buy a ticket and have a shot at winning your own luxurious digs to start a harem in.
