Tim Cohen of the Fresh & Onlys releases a gorgeous, glittering new track called "Torture" under his side project moniker Magic Trick. We can't wait to hear it as part of his upcoming LP Ruler of the Night (Hardly Art), which features backup vocals from members of the Aisler's Set. [via Pitchfork]

As fierce Hall & Oates fans, we couldn't pass up this video of Nicki Bluhm & the Gramblers performing an acoustic cover of "I Can't Go For That" in their moving tour van. Oh, and there's a KAZOO SOLO. [via SF Weekly]

The blogs have long been buzzing about the collaboration between SF's Ty Segall and LA's White Fence, and finally, the first excellent organ-soaked single from their album Hair has dropped (called "I Am Not a Game"), and it's awesome. [via The Bay Bridged]

Get ready for a hearty chuckle...everyone's favorite (sarcasm) San Francisco band Train has announced a one-of-a-kind free show to celebrate their new album California 37. On April 1st, the so-called "37 Concert" will be streamed as a live performance through the intercom and public address systems of local businesses such as cafes, major food markets, department stores, and chain restaurants. Cool....sort of? [via SF Weekly]

Did you know there's a Sacramento Electronic Music Festival? We didn't either. This under-the-radar synthy celebration is coming up soon (May 3, 4, and 5) and has just added Raleigh Moncrief, Yalls, Giraffage, and James & Evander to its lineup. The full roster is TBD, but right now it looks promising. [via The Bay Bridged]
