Arcade Fire's Big Sur Show Sold Out....In One Minute

Poof! The chance to snag a ticket or two to Arcade Fire's Big Sur show came and went....in about one minute. If you spent the morning jittery with anticipation and constantly refreshing the Henry Miller Memorial Library's Events page and were greeted with the opportunity to add your name to the "waitlist," join the club. Several of our officemates suffered the same fate.

But what is this "waitlist"? According to Magnus Toren over at the Henry Miller Library, there are some tickets set aside for Arcade Fire's record label, Merge. If those tickets become available, they will go to the first names on the waitlist. Translation: the show is sold out. Time to gear up for the Greek Theatre ticket sales.

i live in big sur. right around the corner from henry miller... yeah im just gonna sneak in its really not that hard lol ... thats just how we locals doo :)

I got a VIP table, 5 seats. :-) I couldn't even get a regular ticket and barely got a table after being told it was sold out twice one opened up and I snagged it. See you at the show..

I'm going too!!!! I guess I'm one of the lucky few who kept refreshing the Henry Miller event site until I got the page to load... and then the tickets button to EventBrite popped up a few seconds past 12 noon (exactly) and things just worked out. When I couldn't load the event site initially, I really thought there was no way I was getting tickets. But I did. And I'm completely psyched. It's going to be an amazing concert, I hope.

Here's how I got mine...

The Henry Miller Library uses EventBright to sell their tickets. So at 11am I sat there and refreshed countless times until around 11:30 the tickets showed up for sale. So I immediately bought mine. About two minuets later they disappeared. Then right at 12 they opened back up and sold out in two minutes. When I called them to verify that I got my tickets they told me that they accidentally opened them early and sold over half of the tickets then.

This is going to be the coolest concert ever!

oh... I guess it is only for Amex customers right now... welp... get to it.

Ummmm Greek tickets went on sale this morning... I got my on the Amex early presale, but they have been on sale for everyone since Noon...
