Meet the SF Designer on the Speed Dials of Indie Brides and Festival Girls

Alyssa Casares is all grown up, and she has the style chops to prove it. Since the age of 16, the local fashion design prodigy behind Alyssa Nicole has been catching the eye of fashion bloggers and clotheshorses alike, and her modern cuts and painstaking tailoring have since garnered a cult following. Recently, she's been causing a stir within the Bay Area boutique scene, with local shops from the Marina to the Mission lining up to stock her styles.

While many designers get locked into a singular designe genre, Casares's collections span enough styles and eras to fill even the most mercurial fashionista's closet. Her Fall 2014 collection was all sharp lines and mod, thigh-grazing silhouettes, but her new Spring/Summer 2015 collection, "Unreflected," is all frothy confection full of floaty hemlines and light, sunlit hues that conjure up buttercream frosting on the world's most flowery cake.

Standout pieces include the floaty lace halter dress, with a barely-there aesthetic that's still somehow demure; the closely-tailored silk sleeve bell dress, which proves that prim and proper doesn't have to be ho-hum; and the drapey silk tent dress, which is about to become every festival girl's obsession.
