Our National Parks Have Big Plans for Earth Day

Every week, we'll be featuring a guest post from the travel writers behind Worth the Drive, a blog featuring nearby getaways, festivals, and sweet travel deals on NBC Bay Area.
The obvious answer the question "where will you spend Earth Day" is, well, wait for it, the earth. (Unless you're an astronaut or something; we won't assume to know.) And while a day recognizing the importance of treating our planet and home in a nice manner can be celebrated wherever you happen to be, there's something about being steps from a waterfall or surrounded by the largest living things on this particular orb that puts the spirit of Earth Day right in one's heart. With that in mind, we're dreaming of being in Yosemite or among the sequoias this Earth Day and Earth Day Week.
