A Woof Welcome: Meet Claremont Club's New Canine Ambassador

By

Roll your bags through the doors of the Claremont in Berkeley and you'll be greeted by an uber-friendly hostess in a striking white coat. It's only her first week on the job, but she's sure to have you head over heels with her outgoing personality, adorable eagerness...and wagging tail.

Meet Edie, The Claremont Club and Spa's newest four-legged friend. Not only does her sleek white fur match The White Castle on the Hill, as the Berkeley hotel's often nicknamed, but she seems totally at home on the job. Though she was originally trained as a puppy to become a service dog, The Claremont says that "friendly and outgoing personality proved to be better suited to the hospitality industry," where she's landed a job as Canine Ambassador.

Nametag and all, Edie greets guests, enjoys homemade dog treats from the hotel's pastry kitchen, and takes naps in a comfy bed by the concierge desk. She has her own email address too, and, like all modern celebrity furballs, her own Instagram account.

Good luck on the new job, Edie!
