Kulinary Confidential is a two-week event series that will offer a limited number of tickets for pop-up dinners as well as a go-at-your-own-pace passport that will allow you to taste secret menu items at restaurants including Sarap Shop, Little Skillet, Señor Sisig, Manila Bowl, and more. // Passports are $48 per week for four restaurants, or $24 for just two restaurants; dinners are $65 to $90 per person; tickets are available online.

Usually we're all about the openings, but this is one closure we can't skip mentioning. Sadly last week, the NYT broke the news that legendary local restaurant Jardinière will be closing after 21 sparkling years in Hayes Valley. Hurry over for one last glass of Billecart and a final go at chef Traci Des Jardins' superb tasting menu. Todd Hido Lecture

As part of the CCA's Larry Sultan Visiting Artist Program, famed photographer Todd Hido is appearing for a free lecture tonight. Hido is known for his moody portraits and gritty American landscapes in a signature muted-meets-mysterious color palette. The artist's work has appeared in 7x7 magazine, and hangs in the collections of museums including the Getty, the Whitney Museum, SFMOMA, and Pier 24 Photography.
