The deep purplish red has a whimsical purple foam and is super sweet and refreshing for a summer day at the beach. Bonny Doon "A Proper Pink"

This rich, tart, relatively boozy and spicy dark pink rosé is from Bonny Doon Vineyards in Santa Cruz, and sells for $16 a bottle. A self-proclaimed brosé, this wine hints at strawberries, raspberries, and watermelon, and has a lightly savory finish. Ameztoi Getariako Txakolina

From Basque country in Spain, Txakolinas are gently effervescent, acidic, very dry, and low alcohol white wines, which makes them perfect for a beach day. This varietal is on the pricier side for a whim at around $21-$23 a bottle, but incredibly delicious with citrus and green apple coming through, and a tiny hint of salinity, which recalls the ocean. From Mendocino County, McFadden's cuvée brut is 50 percent chardonnay and 50 percent pinot noir and runs for around $25 a bottle, which is pretty decent for a sparkler.
