But this February, the It couple opened its second San Francisco location (they have a third in Venice, CA), and somehow the new space is even more beautiful than the original.
Located just around the corner, General Store Home has all the hygge vibes you'd expect, and as its new name suggests, puts the emphasis on pretty trappings for your nest, mostly crafted by artists the couple has met within their community, from the Outer Sunset to Mendocino.
Here you'll find lust-worthy ceramics from the Bay Area's finest potters—Julie Cloutier, Atelier Dion, Zoe Dering, Kiyomi Kiode, and Michelle Blade; geometric wooden stools by Nobuto Suga and Ido Yoshimoto; and a couple pieces, including a stunning leather chair, from Josh Duthie of Woodshop.
Every tabletop and corner brings something unexpected, so plan to spend some time perusing the vintage books, textiles, modern-hippie wall hangings, fair trade African baskets, moon calendars, bundles of sage, and carved spoons—all the necessities for creating your own dreamy (and IG-worthy) sanctuary.
Looking for General Store's trademark relaxed apparel, sandals and denim? Backtrack to the OG store, which will now focus almost exclusively on clothing.
