Cinequest Film & Creativity Festival returns to San Jose and Redwood City March 5th for a stunning 13 days featuring 600 unique experiences in the genres of film and television, dance, fashion, music, art and design, food, writing, virtual and augmented realities, and more.


Voted Best Film Festival by readers of USA Today, the 2019 edition of Cinequest will draw more than 105,000 attendees to its state-of-the-art San Jose venues; but thanks to Cinequest's renowned hospitality, the festival experience will be as warm and personal as it is electrifying.

Cinequest presents more than 130 world and U.S. premiere films, groundbreaking innovations, and various creative integrations. "Picture the Possibilities" by Cinequest holds its annual Creativity Summit during the festival as well, with more than 1,100 artists, innovators, and youth from more than 50 countries each year.

Cinequest's highest honor, the Maverick Award, recognizes bold visionaries, all exemplary in the worlds of Silicon Valley innovation and the creative arts. This year, Cinequest recognizes artists including Nandita Das, Bill Nighy, and other special guests including 2017 Librarian of the Year, Jill Bourne.

Cinequest prides itself on its wide and ever-expanding selection of creative experiences and opportunities available to all people, and all ages. This year, the festival's "Unexpected" theme will push forward the new and unanticipated.
