A Perfect Pairing Party with Andrea Robinson and Tom Douglas
Tonight, April 7, head to the Macy’s Cellar at 6 p.m. for a “Perfect Pairing Party” with wine expert Andrea Robinson and Seattle-based chef Tom Douglas (chef-owner of four restaurants and creator of the most sinisterly delicious coconut cream pie of all time). Douglas will demonstrate the recipes while Robinson suggest the perfect wine match for each. The event is $15; proceeds go to Meals of Wheels. Reserve your spot by going to macys.com/events
Calaveras County Winemaker at Pauline’s Wine Bar

A Japanese Food Documentary, Accompanied by Sake and Snacks!
On April 10 the Viz Theatre in Japantown will be showing the American premiere of the Japanese documentary Eatrip, a film about food in modern Japan. The film begins at 7 p.m. and directly following the screening will be a party with Joto sake and Japanese snacks prepared by Peko-Peko, with some specialties flown in from Japan for the occasion. Tickets for the film and party are $50.
Mauro Colagreco Dinners at Manresa
Mauro Colagreco, chef of the Michelin-starred Mirazur on the Côte d’Azur, will be atManresa for two special dinners on April 10 and 11th. The two chefs will collaborate on a seasonal menu that will celebrate the spring produce from Love Apple Farm, Manresa’s potager. A Slow Food Sponsored Chile Tasting at Charanga
Slow Food San Francisco will be hosting a guided dried chile tasting at Charanga on April 13. Taste the difference between guajillo, ancho and more, and learn the best uses for each.
