Erik Gower, who authors the Chronicle column Breakaway Cook, will be at Macy's in Union Square on November 20 at 2 p.m., serving up a free demonstration on how to make the perfect, crowd-pleasing vegetarian Thanksgiving, without the aid of Tofurkey. The event is free.
