Joffrey Ballet Makes its Way to UC Berkeley

The esteemed Joffrey Ballet—the first company to perform at the White House and the only one to appear on the cover of Time magazine—will work the floor boards at Cal Performances this month, with pieces by Val Caniparoli and Stanton Welch.

Of particular interest is the West Coast premiere of Alexander Ekman's explosive Episode 3, which begins bombastic rhythms before slowly landing into a duet dance set to a reading of Christina Rossetti's poem "Color."

Mar. 14–15; Zellerbach Auditorium (101 Zellerbach Hall, #4800 UC Berkeley)
