Now that the holidays are over, the champagne is flat, the confetti’s swept away and the resolutions for 2008 have been made, it’s time to greet the new year with some good intentions and some awesome live shows. Whether you’ve promised to limit yourself to one martini instead of three on weeknights or to hit up the gym more than once a month, one thing that’s sure to set this year in motion and spark motivation is music. I mean, if anything, you might check out a new artist that would fit right in on your “Workout Jams 2008” playlist or you might meet that new special someone in the beer line at the Great American Music Hall at the Marie Sioux show. Whether or not you stick with your resolutions, here are some bands to check out this month to kick start ’08.
