Oakland Style, an annual five-day celebration of art, fashion, music, cuisine, and culture, returns October 8-12.
There’s lots to look forward to this year, beginning day one (Oct. 8th), when the event kicks off with Art Clash, a vibrant competition featuring six Bay Area artists from the Graffiti Camp for Girls, the Illuminaries, the great Leon Kennedy, and more. Watch with cocktails and bites as they produce new work live, and pick up a little something at the pop-up gallery before you go.

On October 9th, check out Mixology + Music: A Mixology Competition featuring contestants from 12 of Oakland’s hottest restaurants and bars creating their own unique versions of an Oakland Style cocktail with Coramino tequila. Taste your way through the event and vote for your favorite while enjoying bites, music, and fun from DJ Christie and MC Liam Mayclem (Bay Area Foodie Chap).
Friday brings High Tea + High Style at the Claremont Resort & Club, featuring Oakland designers Dorian Webb, Lesley Evers, and Lee Rickie. Later, join local author Shonda Scott for the launch of her new book Give Me a Year, and get your game on with Town Style: Fashion Trivia Night + Cocktail Party.
Day four, October 11th, will be bustling day and night. Check out Oakland Art Murmur’s Art Alive, a celebration of The Town’s bold and diverse creativity; go inside some of the city’s most vibrant art spaces on specially curated Oakland Style Art Tours; and drop into Creative Growth’s immersive Fashion Lab to create something you can’t wait to wear. When the sun goes down, don’t miss the LGBTQ Designer Fashion Show at Fluid 510.

Cuisine + Couture closes out the 2025 celebration, an event featuring innovative designs inspired by Oakland’s diverse cuisine and culture from the talented students at Oakland School for the Arts (OSA). They’ve teamed up with 11 chefs from the “Best Food City in the U.S.” for this incredible, creative event.
With five days of activities taking place throughout The Town, it’s the perfect time to stay awhile. When visitors book a room at a participating hotel, they receive two tickets to one of three signature Oakland Style events.
