Outstanding in the Field Tickets Now on Sale


Outstanding in the Field's 2017 tour tickets went on sale on Monday. The traveling farm-to-table pop-up hosts dinners all over the globe, and will stop in the Bay Area in May and June. Pick up a pair of tickets to dinner at the Secret Sea Cove in Santa Cruz with guest chef Gonzalo Guzman of Nopalito, or join Liholiho Yacht Club's Ravi Kapur at Fifth Crow Farm in Pescadero. // Various dates and locations. Glena's Opens for Dinner

Glena's, the new Dogpatch taco spot from Michael Gaines (Kin Khao), is now open for dinner. In addition to tacos, the new eatery offers ceviche, pozole, and soon enough, margaritas. Smitten Opens on Valencia Street

Bay Area churn-to-order darling Smitten Ice Cream is opening a new brick-and-mortar on Valencia this Thursday. To celebrate, the ice cream shop will be offering special flavors inspired by three local Mission businesses: Turmeric Gold Latter flavor in collaboration with Samovar Tea Lounge, a chevre and apricots flavor in collaboration with Mission Cheese, and a hot chocolate flavor in collaboration with Dandelion Chocolate. Achilles Heel x Tacos Cala

Chef Lee Desrosiers of Achilles Heel in Brooklyn is popping up at Tacos Cala on Thursday. The chef is famous for his Hell Chicken, which is first smoked, then braised, then grilled until crisp, and will be doing a special guest taco for lunch. Nightbird's 3-Course Symphony Meal

Nightbird is offering a truncated menu Tuesday-Thursday from 5-6 p.m. for Symphony-goers. The three-course menu will allow guests to enjoy highlights of Kim Alter's rotating tasting menu, which could include duck with quinoa, nasturtium, and forest mushroom, black cod with asparagus, green garbanzo beans, and charred lemon, and a sorbet of blood orange with candied citron.
