Seedstore Opens, Americana Style Comes to the Inner Richmond

Though opening a vintage-inspired boutique in the heart of a neighborhood not particularly known for fashion might seem like an odd choice, that's exactly why sisters Jennifer and Cynthia Huie chose the cozy space next to Park Life for Seedstore.

After looking at storefronts in destination neighborhoods like the Mission and Hayes Valley, the duo realized they'd rather be somewhere that doesn't have a pigeonholed shopping identity. Instead, they'd like to create one.

Stocked with colorful racks of classic Americana clothing and accessories for men and women amidst vintage housewares and artwork that you can buy right off the walls, we'd say Seedstore is on track to do just that.

You can expect to find a well-curated selection of established brands (Free People, Alternative Apparel, Hudson) mixed with indie labels (reMade USA, Tanner Goods, Preloved) and the coveted Swedish Hasbeen clogs. Essentially, they have everything you need to nail that 'I don't really care...but I really do' look.

With a launch party planned for 8/26 and trunk shows in the works, we suspect you're about to spend a lot more time in the Inner Richmond.

Seedstore, now open, 212 Clement St., b/t 3rd & 4th Aves., 415-386-1600
