Hungry for some dining action, South Bay edition? It's all happening in San Jose, with a downtown-centric Restaurant Week and a brand new build-your-own-pizza spot.
Dine Downtown San Jose runs from June 20-29, and features a wide variety of restaurants, cuisines, and price ranges. In classic Restaurant Week style, downtown restaurants (including Michael Mina's Arcardia, The Farmer's Union, and and Fahrenheit Restaurant) are offering three-course, prix fixe menus, from $20-$50 per person. Even better? For each prix fixe ordered, $1 will be donated to Loaves and Fishes Family Kitchen. Get the full list of restaurants and check out menu offerings here.

Pizza gets the artisanal assembly line treatment at Take One Pizza, now open in downtown San Jose. The build-your-own personal pizzas ($6.85–$8.45) include a variety of sauces, cheeses, and toppings of the meat and vegetable variety. You can experiment with a BBQ-blue cheese-meatball pie, or stay classic with marinara and mozzerella. Director's Cuts pies featuring popular topping combinations are available, too (plus vegan and gluten-free options). Beer, and soft serve (!) are also on tap. This is the first location of Take One, but spots in South San Francisco and San Mateo are forthcoming.
After indulging in San Jose, head to the new Nekter Juice Barin Mountain View, which opened its doors at the San Antonio Shopping Center on June 23. This is the first Northern California outpost of the SoCal-based juice chain. In addition to a vibrant menu of juices, smoothies, and acai bowls, Nekter can set you up to do a juice cleanse ($48 per day; programs last one to five days). Get inspired to get healthy with their full menu and various cleanse offerings.
