The Most Spectacular Gingerbread Houses in Northern California

'Tis the season to feast your eyes on the best gingerbread houses in Northern California.

You'll find a two-story Victorian that's big enough to dine in and a 12-foot tall sugar castle. Don't go hungry.

When: Through January 1, 2023

At 22 feet tall and 35 feet wide, the Fairmont San Francisco's two-story edible Victorian was crafted by the hotel's culinary team using thousands of real gingerbread bricks and 2,000 pounds of candy. It's so life-size, you can even make reservations to host a dinner party for up to eight guests in the house's oh-so-sweet dining room. //

Westin St. Francis' Sweet Sugar Castle

When: Through December 31, 2023

Executive pastry chef Jean-François Houdré's signature gingerbread castle is a rotating wonderland at the Westin St. Francis in Union Square.
