The wedding of Roxanna Apodaca and Nick Soelter began with a quintessentially San Francisco proposal: beneath the stars, with the Golden Gate Bridge lit up in the background.
In keeping with the iconic nature of that local landmark, the pair settled on Fairfax's Deer Park Villa for their wedding day—the lush outdoor venue ringed with towering redwoods would provide a majestic backdrop for a fairytale-style fete.
To achieve their rustic-romantic look, the couple hung string lights and Soelter made the wooden arch, signs, and the coasters they gave as party favors. To add a bit of elegance, they brought in luxurious linens, lush ivory-hued florals, jewel-toned napkins and glassware, and metallic candle holders.
The bride wore a beaded Badgley Mischka gown with a tulle skirt and a blush head piece and veil. The groom and groomsmen traded the traditional black suit for a more modern blue.
At dinner, the wedding arch framed the couple's sweetheart table, which was surrounded by candles. A photo booth, gelato bar, and dancing made for lighthearted fun at the reception.
