For this week's Scenes of the City we hung out on Saturday and Sunday in the Mission capturing the Carnaval celebrations. Dancing, smiles and lots of good times made for a unforgettable two days.

Young and old were out on the dance floor having a good time.

Almost every hour on Saturday live performance were happing on several different stages.

No detail was spared in the preparation of everyone’s costumes and outfits for Sunday's parade.

Thousands of people came out for the celebration on Saturday held all along Harrison St.

Carnaval with some hometown pride. Go Giants.

Hula-hooping is welcome at any festival.

Little girls with their painted faces enjoy the festivities on Saturday.

Several women demonstrate their capoeira skills as part of the parade.

Dance group Bodirock took over the dance floor for a bit on Saturday afternoon.
