Your number 2# are ok have tasted way better in San fracisco .for one at La Mar Sf crunchy yet tender and filled with yummy dulce de leche. Not soft and thick and well let's just say There are better.so taste more then just one in the bay area I think you will agree.
Paulette macarons are really nice. I've been looking for good macarons in ship-able box to put up on my gourmet gift website www.savorique.com so thank you for this helpful list.

After reading this, I finally tried Ginger cake at Chow and was totally disappointed. The cake was good but combined with caramel sauce...way too much sweet!
what?! no sea salt and olive oil gelato from beretta????? by far, the best part of the meal there, and the best dessert i've had in ages.

Alkeemi..salted caramel is wonderful, although not listed however Bi Rite is..check #24
The caneles at Mission Beach Cafe were the best I'd ever had until I had them at Patisserie Phillipe which were as good if not a bit better! I also had a Paris Brest there.. with hazelnut cream which blew my socks off....what a great place!!
