If you haven’t had time to make it out to the Crown Point Press at 50exhibition at the de Young’s Anderson Gallery of Graphic Art, it’s worth a visit before the show’s close on February 17. Celebrating the press house’s 50th anniversary, dozens of prints by 15 internationally famed artists are on view, including Robert Bechtle, Wayne Theibaud, and Kiki Smith. Rather than lithography or sceenprinting, the focus of Crown Point Press was to help artists create etched prints, which offer varied colors and photoetching. Runs through February 17, Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco de Young Museum, 50 Hagiwara Tea Garden Drive.

What’s better than sampling Bay Area cuisine and looking at art? The Oakland Museum of California has kicked off its Friday Nights collaboration with Off the Grid. This food truck party is now coming to the museum every Friday night with ten gourmet food trucks, live music, beer and wine specials, and extended hours in the museum’s galleries and special exhibitions – all for half-priced admission. Every Friday from 5pm to 9pm, Oakland Museum of California, 1000 Oak Street.

It’s that time of year again for the city’s most exciting design event – Design San Francisco. This major annual event for design professionals takes place the first week of February and there are dozens of events not to miss. Seminars and open houses will be set up in the San Francisco Design Center’s showrooms where people can learn new skills, such as tile-making, color theory, and different types of lighting. Also, don’t forget the SFDC’s biennial Designers of Distinction Awards Luncheon hosted by California Home + Design on February 7. Runs from February 6 to 8, San Francisco Design Center, 2 and 101 Henry Adams Street.
