Il Cane Rosso to Raise Money for Soul Food Farm

By

Just over a month ago, a devastating fire wreaked havoc on Soul Food Farm, a 55-acre chicken and egg farm situated in Vacaville. Flames engulfed the trees, the old 1880's barn burned to the ground, and more than 1,000 baby chicks died as a result. Firefighters were able to put a stop to the burning before more animals were killed, but the damage was already done.

In the short time since the catastrophe, many restaurants and individuals around the Bay Area have banded together to help Soul Food Farm raise money and rebuild. Supporter and star chef Daniel Patterson is the next in line to continue the altruistic endeavors with a fundraiser at his restaurant Il Cane Rosso, cohosted by his other restaurant, Coi, on Sunday, Oct. 11.

There will be two seatings, the first from 5:30 to 6pm, followed by a second from 7:30 to 8pm. The cost of the three-course menu served family-style, is $50 per person, including wine. All funds will benefit Sould Food Farm directly. Those interested in purchasing a ticket should call 415-391-7599.
