Yes it's goofy AF, but The Kook, a new mockumentary by native San Francisco filmmaker Sam Blakesberg and starring Los Angeles–based skier Michael Hibbs, provides one of those can't-look-away moments as Hibbs, doing all his own stunts, shreds down Mt. Tam and the streets and steps of SF in overalls and on skis.

The 15-minute short is intended to evoke questions about the future of skiing in the face of climate change and warmer, drier winters.
