This summer, Bono and the boys will pull the ultimate #throwback: U2 has announced a 25-date stadium tour of The Joshua Tree to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the band's best-selling album.

"It seems like we have come full circle from when The Joshua Tree songs were originally written, with global upheaval, extreme right-wing politics and some fundamental human rights at risk," U2's guitarist, The Edge, said in a statement. "To celebrate the album — as the songs seem so relevant and prescient of these times too — we decided to do these shows; it feels right for now."

As reported by the New York Times, the band will play the entirety of the album each night, beginning on May 12th in Vancouver, British Columbia, and willstop at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara on Wednesday, May 17th. Along the way, the band will also perform at Tennessee's Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in June, marking the U2's first headlining appearance at an American festival.
