Birds & Batteries Release 'Panorama:' Sneak a Listen

By

Hot off the heels of their 2009 EP, Birds & Batterieshad everyone from the likes of Pitchfork and Rolling Stone buzzing. With praises like, “[Up To No Good is] a bit like a high-concept mashup, this fusion of two of the slickest eras of pop production produces some polished results,” we couldn’t help but perch on the edge of our seat waiting for their next move.

Recorded simultaneously with Up To No Good at the legendary Tiny TelephoneHyde Street Studio C, 2010's Panorama takes a complete 180 from its beloved electro-funk brethren, but that certainly doesn’t make it any less genius. Political innuendos and strong messages are masked by a striking voice, and tempos that’ll get your toes tapping. Just when you think you can’t possibly hear anything else from Birds & Batteries, they go and hit a curveball to left field. These guys (and gal) are allways brilliant, and never disappointing.

Panorama was released today, Tuesday, October 12. You can buy the album here, but first sneak a listen at one of the hit tracks from the album below. You can also check them out at their album release party this Friday (October 15) at Bottom of the Hill with Geographer
