Contemporary art meets San Francisco's industrial past in this two-level, live-work loft with a custom, geometric rainbow mural by Austin-based artist Josef Kristofoletti.

Built in 1867, the brick Oriental Warehouse was once an industrial hub owned by the Pacific Mail Steamship Company, which imported goods like tea, spices, silk, and rice. In 1996, it was converted into 66 modern lofts by architecture firm Edmonds + Lee. The space retains many of the original elements—think exposed timber and brick—and keeps with rustic-chic vibes through reclaimed hardwood flooring, skylights with automated coverings, and 20-foot ceilings.

This 1,600-square-foot loft has bright spaces to live and play, including a lush entry patio. The plan is open between the uniquely painted living room, dining area, and kitchen, which is fully kitted out with stainless steel appliances, a wine fridge, and a separate pantry. A cozy sitting area beneath the stairs and a full bedroom and bathroom complete the main level.

Upstairs, the master suite has a private lounge and large closet system. A catwalk overlooks the living area and leads to yet another airy sitting area.

Location: 650 Delancey St. #219 (South Beach)

Size: 1,572 sq. ft.

Bedrooms: 2

Bathrooms: 2

Asking price: $1,795,000
