On June 18, the Spinsters of San Francisco held their 82nd Annual Ball, a members only black tie gala, in the Swig Suite penthouse of The Fairmont San Francisco. The event marks the turnover of the Spinsters calendar year and the transition of outgoing leadership to the newly elected board.
The Ball was a sold-out smash success. Guests were greeted by Popchips’ photo activation booth where they “popped in” to capture and share photos online. The Annual Ball featured spirits by SKYY Vodka, Irish cider courtesy of Magners, and delightful hors d’oeuvres such as fresh nigiri and maki sushi. Guests danced until deep into the night to the beats of DJ Lamont and topped off the night by satisfying their hunger with late night bites from Izzy’s.
Spinsters of San Francisco is a nonprofit, community-oriented social and philanthropic organization comprised of college educated, unmarried women who sponsor and raise funds each year for a designated local charity. In addition, the group hosts after work and evening cocktail parties, seasonal dances and three Charity Events for members and their guests. Traditionally, the members have also volunteered their time with local arts organizations, medical facilities and other philanthropic groups such as the Guardsmen.
