The RealReal opens first SF store in Union Square, Alameda Vintage Fashion Faire turns 10 + more style news

It's not a pop-up: The RealReal is here to stay with a two-level storefront filled with luxury consignment goods to knock your designer socks off.

Plus, True Botanicals debuts a clay mask your face will love, Lululemon celebrates International Women's Day with an empowering interactive experience, and the Alameda Vintage Fashion Faire turns 10.

The RealReal's permanent SF store debuts today. Hint: It's so good!

Holy authenticated luxury consignment, Batman! The RealReal's two-level, 8,000-square-foot store dazzles with a sumptuous interior that could rival any high-end store: It's sleek, sophisticated and whimsical (those pops of quirky wallpaper!). Fine, we forgive the behemoth consigner/online marketplace for taking so long to put down brick-and-mortar roots in its hometown—after opening outposts in NYC and L.A. The dressing room papered with life-sized images of the iconic Brown twins also helped smooth things over.

Located in the old Hermès location on Post Street and Maiden Lane, TRR is divided into several shoppable areas: women's and men's clothing, shoes, handbags and accessories, beauty, fine jewelry and watches, and home design and art. All the secondhand designer goodies are available for sale with new merch being added daily. (Those looking to resell, head to the Luxury Consignment Office.) Other cool amenities found at the LEED gold–certified store: on-site tailoring and repair services for handbags, shoes, jewelry, and watches. We're most excited about the cafe, CaféCafé. Open from 11am to 6pm daily, the menu includes a mix of yummies from Mr. Holmes Bakehouse, sweet and savory toasts galore (made with Acme bread), grab-and-go options from Positive Food Co., plus coffee drinks from Sightglass, cold-pressed juices and smoothies from Happy Moose, and Whalebird kombucha.

What's all the hubbub about? The SF skincare brand is celebrating the launch of a new product—the Pacific Glacial Clay Detoxifying Mask ($75). The hero ingredient of True Botanicals' very first detox mask is, you guessed it, glacial oceanic clay, which is harvested exclusively from Canadian glaciers and contains more than 60 minerals that pull impurities from deep within the skin. The result is hydrated, supple skin with a reduced appearance of pores (thank you). Like all TB products, the mask is Made Safe–certified, plus offers UV protection and other benefits.

Be among the first to check it out at the Jackson Square store's launch event on Wednesday, March 4th with DIY bath soaks, refreshments, and gifts with purchase. P.S. The 75-minute Detox Ritual treatment featuring the new mask also debuts today. Book an appointment. // 10am to 6pm Wednesday, March 4; True Botanicals, 522 Washington St. (Jackson Square), truebotanicals.com

"Reflect" is a pop-up museum from Lululemon designed to celebrate amazing SF women and inspire self-reflection. In honor of International Women's Day on March 8th, five guided shows begin on Friday, March 6th at the San Francisco Mint. The exhibits are centered around the extra sweat woman/womxn expend in order to push boundaries and break barriers to create gender equality. It highlights five phenomenal local ladies who tell their stories and share what they believe is #worththeextrasweat, including Adejire Bademosi, community builder and policy advocate; Britteny Floyd-Mayo, yogi and entrepreneur; Katie Gong, woodwork sculptor; Nkechi Deanna Njaka, neuroscientist, choreographer, and meditation teacher; and Dani Parker, yoga instructor and fitness/wellness leader. // March 6-8 at the San Francisco Mint. 88 Fifth St. (SoMa); tickets ($20) are available at Eventbrite.

Throw on a blazer with major shoulder pads, oversized jewelry, and acid-wash jeans and make your way to Michaan's Annex Auction Showroom for the Alameda Vintage Fashion Faire. On Friday and Saturday, March 13th and 14th, the largest vintage show in the Bay Area is celebrating its 10th birthday. A "Back to the '80s" party and fashion contest is on the menu du nuit on Friday (6pm–10pm): Along with first-dibs shopping, a DJ spinning popular ditties from the decade, local libations, and food trucks are on tap. Saturday (11am to 5pm), however, is all about the thrill of the hunt, with more than 75 booths filled with men's and women's clothing, jewelry, accessories, linens, and more. We're talking gems spanning the 19th century to the 1990s. // Tickets for Friday night, which include entrance on Saturday, are $15 when purchased online a Brown Paper Tickets or $20 at the door. All tickets for Saturday are $5; 2701 Monarch St. (Alameda), vintagefashionfaire.com.
