Ooh La La! Clare V. Hits Hayes Valley

It's lucky number seven for Clare V: The modern L.A.-based handbag label with Parisian flavor and reasonable prices has officially christened its first San Francisco store on Linden Street (you can celebrate your first purchase with a Gibraltar at Blue Bottle). Ridiculously charming (it shares a garden with Steven Alan), the space makes an ideal backdrop for founder (and former Bay Area resident) Clare Vivier's covetable leather clutches, weekenders and wallets. (We're stalking this little guy.) Shoppers will also discover a smattering of sunnies, ceramics, jewelry and other goodies by some of Ms. V.'s favorite makers. Check it out for yourself at the opening party on Saturday, July 15 (5-7pm). Sips, snacks and DJ spins will be served. // 344 Linden St. (Hayes Valley), clarev.com

PSA: Freda Salvador Sample Sale This Saturday

Shoe addicts, this is one Public Service Shoe Announcement to heed: Loved local footwear brand Freda Salvador is holding its famous kick-ass sample sale on Saturday, July 15 at the General's Residence in Fort Mason. Sale hours are stated as 10am to 4pm but beware: Hordes of shoe-starved bargain hunters will likely queue up before sunrise. With prices ranging from $120 for sandals to $180 for boots, we totally get the excitement and early-bird strategy. The goods will include Freda faves like the Wit d'Orsay oxford, Ace boot and Keen mule in past colors and leathers of seasons past. Can't make it Saturday? You'll have one more shot in Sausalito on Thursday, July 20 when the sale moves to the company HQ from 10am to 4pm. // The General's Residence, 1 Fort Mason (Marina); Freda Salvador HQ, 80 Liberty Ship Way, #6, (Sausalito), fredasalvador.com

Modern Citizen Goes Brick-and-Mortar

Today, the doors swing open onModern Citizen's new Union Street digs. The three-year-old digital-first brand with Zara-like vibes has often opened its Cow Hollow studio, located around the corner, by appointment and for special events over the years. But this is the retailer's first bona fide storefront. And, naturally, it's cause for much celebration for both CEO/founder Jess Lee and the hardcore fans who can't get enough of the label's affordable minimalist staples. The boutique stocks a well-edited selection of styles from the online shop, as well as accessories, beauty and home goods. // 2070 Union St. (Cow Hollow), moderncitizen.com

Toast to Napa Valley's Coop Boutique

The 700-square-foot fashion boutique that recently opened at Carneros Resort and Spa is so chic and inviting you'll be more than happy to table your cabernet for a shopping break. Coop, from luxe retailer Maris Collective (also the parents of the headliner store at the upcoming First Street Napa development), has a modern, rustic vibe that captures the laid-back elegance of Wine Country living. As does the curated mix of effortless men's and women's clothing and accessories, from such global brands and up-and-coming labels as Lem Lem, Frank & Eileen, Mother, Golden Goose and Cult Gaia. Cheers. // 4048 Sonoma Hwy, (Napa), carnerosresort.com
