7 Cinco de Mayo Drink Recipes That Aren't Margaritas

It's Cinco de Mayo tomorrow, which means two things: Mexican pride and a ton of tequila. And while margaritas and shots are awesome and all, why not try something a little more unique (and refined)? So behold, 7 tequila drink recipes from Liquor.com that aren't margaritas. Arriba!

Mayahuel
This ginger, mint and orange drink was named a Judges Choice Winner at the 2010 Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America Convention.

INGREDIENTS:
1.5 oz Herradura Reposado Tequila
.5 oz Domaine de Canton Ginger Liqueur
.75 oz Fresh orange juice
.5 oz Fresh lime juice
.75 oz Agave syrup
6-8 Mint leaves
Dash Angostura Orange Bitters

Garnish: Mint sprig

Glass: Wine

PREPARATION:
Add all the ingredients to a shaker and fill with ice. Shake and strain into a wine glass filled with crushed ice. Garnish the drink with a mint sprig.

Don Julio’s Bloody Maria
Who says a Bloody Mary needs to be made with vodka? Try this tequila take on the brunch classic.

	INGREDIENTS: 1.5 oz Don Julio Reposado Tequila 6 drops Tabasco Sauce 8 drops Worcestershire Sauce Pinch celery salt Pinch ground black pepper 1 teaspoon Ground horseradish 2 teaspoons Fresh lime juice 8 oz Tomato juice Garnish: Strips of celery Glass: Highball PREPARATION: Dip a highball glass into lemon juice and then dip it into black pepper. Add to the glass Don Julio Reposado, Tabasco Sauce, Worcestershire Sauce, celery salt, tomato juice and ground horseradish. Stir with a bar spoon. Garnish with thin strips of celery.

	Anejo Old Fashioned This tasty recipe by famed New York City mixologist Julie Reiner will never go out of style. INGREDIENTS: 3 oz Partida Anejo Tequila .25 oz Agave nectar Dash Angostura Bitters Orange peel Garnish: Brandied cherry Glass: Old fashioned PREPARATION: In an old fashioned glass lightly muddle the orange peel, bitters and agave nectar. Add ice and Partida Anejo Tequila. Stir and garnish with a brandied cherry.
	St Rita One part tequila and one part St-Germain Liqueur. Simple but elegant. INGREDIENTS: 1.5 oz Don Julio Blanco Tequila 1.5 oz Fresh apple cider .5 oz Club soda .5 oz Fresh lemon juice .5 oz Simple syrup (one part sugar, one part water) Ground cinnamon Glass: Highball PREPARATION: Rim the edge of a highball glass with cinnamon. Add Don Julio Blanco Tequila, fresh apple cider, club soda, fresh lemon juice and simple syrup to a cocktail shaker with ice. Cover and shake well. Strain contents into the highball glass full of fresh ice.
