It is a really cool f'n T-shirt. But All Power to the People Project's Vote tee is all about encouraging people to make sure their voices are heard in the upcoming election. (Voting via mail, drop-off, or in person is all good.) It's also a must-shop because of its Bay Area bona fides.
The Project is a collaboration between Rachel Konte, owner of Oakland online shop and design studio Owl N Wood, and the Dr. Huey P. Newton Foundation, headed by Fredrika Newton, the widow of the cofounder of the Black Panther Party. Together, they're working with SF-based Brandi Moore Agency and JE Model to support the campaign to get the vote out.
With every purchase of the unisex tee ($38), five percent will be donated to the Movement Voter Project, an organization designed to strengthen progressive power at all levels of government through its support of local community-based organizations focusing on youth and communities of color. Dreamed up in SF and handcrafted in Italy, luxe handbag retailer Senreve reopened the doors to its Jackson Square flagship last week with limited hours. And to make sure shopping is safe and enjoyable, only two (masked) customers are allowed in the space at a given time. The good news here: you can schedule an appointment to avoid annoying queues. Plus, the Insta superstar—known for glorious structured beauties in various shapes, sizes, and mouthwatering shades—just dropped the new Alunna shoulder bag. A little birdie told us it had a waitlist of more than 2,000, but as of this post, the bag ($645) and its mini-me ($575) are available at the brick-and-mortar. Uh, gotta go.

It has been a couple of years since we got a whiff of Carta's first artisanal fragrance, Moena 12|69. Oui, it was love at first smell then, and so it is again with local perfumer Heather D'Angelo's second baby: Immortelle 43|17. The paraben- and cruelty-free pure parfum, which launched this week, is equally intoxicating, so not cloying.
"Immortelle 43|17 features immortelle essential oil from two small-family owned farms on the Dalmation Coast, which I visited last summer. The main notes are Dalmation Coast immortelle, sunbaked spices, wildflower honey, caramelized orange peels, orris, and ambergris," D'Angelo says.
Along with being a perfumer, D'Angelo is an ecologist and a musician. So, yeah, she wrote a song for her new perfume. The parfum is $110 for a (stunning) 15ml bottle. You can also buy a sample for $12, which gives you a code for a 10 percent discount on a full-sized bottle. Go for it! You and your pandemic mates will be glad you did.
