1. Big Opens on Nob Hill: The ironically-named Big is a tiny slip of a place in a former hotel bar on Post Street, but what it lacks in size, it more than makes up for in cocktail creativity. Barman Brian Felley (Fleur de Lys, Garcon) has transformed the space into a custom cocktail atelier: tell him what spirit or flavor you enjoy, and he'll whip up something special for you ($12-15, depending on ingredients used). There's no menu, and Felley won't make the same drink twice in a night unless someone specifically requests it. The space is colonial-chic, with red, white, and cream accents and a tattered American flag framed on the wall; a kerosene lamp above the door will be lit when they're open. Since it's a one-man show, Big is currently only open three days a week, though they plan to add a series of guest-bartending nights in the near future. 2. Bisou Bistro's Anniversary Bash: Bisou, the French bistro in the Castro, turns two this month, and they're celebrating in true Castro style-- with plenty of booze. Diners who drop in for a meal at Bisou this Saturday will be rewarded with free shots of the bar's anniversary cocktail (rye, strawberry-basil-black pepper puree, lemon, simple syrup) every half-hour, and gratis champagne will also be flowing. Chef Nick Ronan will also introduce a new menu of bar bites. Though dinner service ends at 10 pm, the restaurant will stay open until the wee hours for an afterparty. 3. Jasper's NFL Draft Deal: The NFL draft kicks off this Thursday, and to build anticipation for another year of gridiron madness, Jasper's is offering 50% off their extensive selection of draft beers. Just tell the bartender the secret password, "luck," to get the deal. A few of the more intriguing drafts you can get for half-off: Goose Island Matilda, Almanac Winter Wit, Blanche de Bruxelles, Devil's Canyon Full Boar Scotch Ale, and North Coast Pranqster. 4. Mac and Cheese Mondays at Andalu: Mondays can be rough, but the ultimate comfort food-- fried mac and cheese-- has a tendency to make everything better. Every Monday, Andalu is offering up $2 crispy mac bites, along with $3 Trumer and $4 shots of Fernet. (Mondays, 5:30-10 pm, at Andalu, 3198 16th St., Mission.)

5. Food Shift Silent Disco Dance Party: Food Shift, which aims to change the food system and keep Americans from wasting food, is throwing a silent dance party with the team behind Silent Storm, including free food and drinks and a raffle ($2) for environmentally-friendly prizes. In keeping with their policy of reducing waste, they're encouraging attendees to bring their own cup and plate, though they'll have a few on hand for those who can't do so.
