Bouquets to Art
Usher in springtime with the 28th annual Bouquets to Art event at the de Young, which has drawn 600,000-plus visitors and has raised nearly $5 million for the fine arts museums of SF since its inception. Dress your girly best and take in the extravagant designs by more than 140 of the Bay Area's most creative floral designers.

Alvin Ailey and ODC Dance
Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater takes its annual place on the stage with an array of programming for Cal Performances including definitive classics like Revelations. Meanwhile, ODC/Dance Downtown presents its 41st home season with three world premieres including Breathing Underwater, which features a score by avant-cellist (and former Hot 20) Zoe Keating.

Celebration
St. Patrick's Day
Celebrate the luck of the Irish with a tame (read: alcohol-free) festival and parade downtown before hitting up the pubs for a few pints before the Guiness, Smithwick's, and Harp taps run dry. The largest Irish event on the West Coast includes more than 100 floats, Irish jigging dance troupes, marching bands, and more.
