Wedding Inspiration: A Whimsical Garden Fantasy for Wanderers at Heart

By

Mai Le and Bobby Diloy are both wanderers at heart. Going wherever the wind took them, they floated to different cities, states, and countries before meeting each other and embarking upon a long-distance relationship between San Francisco to Sacramento.

When they decided to begin a new journey together, they chose yet another new city: Roseville, in Placer County near Sac Town. Then it was time to tie the knot.

For their big day, the couple wanted glamour with a touch of whimsy. They wed at Morgan Creek Golf Club, and brought in lush crimson, coral, blush, and ivory roses for a vibe reminiscent of the gardens of Alice in Wonderland. Splashes of color were found everywhere, in in the bridesmaids' dresses, groomsmen's ties, and vivid florals.

At the ceremony, a crystal curtain created a glittering backdrop while also allowing the landscape to show through, and towering centerpieces made a dramatic statement on the dining tables.

Le wore two sweeping gowns—a lacy sweetheart dress, and a Vietnamese-style number with high neck and traditional hat. And, coming full circle, in a nod to their love of travel, they created luggage tags as favors for their guests.
