An Interior Designer That Stands the Test of Time

What are you wearing?

Vest by Lauren Manoogian, jean jacket by Gap Kids (thrifted), jeans by Madewell, tank by Turk & Taylor, wedges by Dolce Vita, earrings by Enflux, gold bracelet by Coatt (spells my daughter Vivian’s name in Morse code!), black bracelet by Jenée Despain, and purse by Gift Shop Brooklyn.

Name: Janette Yost Crawford

Age: 31

Hood: Alamo Square

Job: Interior designer for my own company, Sun + Dotter

How would you describe your style?

Classic with a twist. I go for pieces that will stand the test of time in my closet (and hopefully become a vintage find of the future), but I always need a stand-out piece, too.

How would you describe San Francisco style...or is there even such a thing?

I love that we get to layer so much in SF! But I wish people dressed up more.

What are your top 5 San Francisco spots?

Toast and a cappuccino at The Mill, sitting on the water at Fort Point, pizza at Ragazza, happy hour at Bar Crudo ($5 chowder and $1 oysters!), and Alamo Square Park with friends.

What 3 things are you most obsessed with right now?

Listening to Sylvan Esso, playing guitar again for the first time in eight years, and dressing myself and my 2-year-old in matching outfits.

What's up next for you? Anything exciting?

Summer! I’m leaving soon for a two-week trip to NYC and then to visit family in the Midwest.
