Five Lake Tahoe Beach House Rentals That'll Make You Swoon

Hammock at Blue Paradise, Lake Tahoe

Need a nap? The hammock at the Blue Paradise house near Tahoe City.

It's been hot around here lately, and one of the best ways to remedy the sweat and lethargy is to be right on the water. It's even better if the water is cold, clear, refreshing, and nine steps away. Lake Tahoe has a multitude of rental homes to choose from and many of them are just a few feet away from the blue lake. Some also have piers or buoys, so bring your boat or jetski.

Rygh Lakefront (Carnelian Bay)
The three-level Rygh Lakefront house in Carnelian Bay can be rented by the Hauserman rental group. It has four bedrooms and 3.5 baths, decks that face out to the lake and conveniences like a gas grill, jacuzzi tubs and flat screen TVs. Beautiful stone steps meander down to the water and the private pier and buoy. The house also comes with two kayaks. The home rents for $5,000 weekly or around $575 daily after Labor Day.

Lakeside Unit #5 (South Lake Tahoe)

The house is filled with mountain and lodge details like the prerequisite deer head above a stone fireplace, wood beams, and cowhide pillows. The cabin is available for rent on HomeAway.

Blue Paradise (Tahoe City)
This lakefront home is right on Dollar Creek just north of Tahoe City. For $8,000 a week the house has an outdoor pool, a patio and deck, a boat dock and sleeps up to 14 people in its seven bedrooms. The home can be rented from FlipKey by TripAdvisor. If you are able to get the 14 people together, a week in paradise only comes to about $80 per person each night.
