Put down your clippers—SF's first outdoor barbershop is here.

SoMa StrEat Food Park thinks it's high time you grab a slice, a beer, and a buzz (cut). Last week, it opened The Barber Collective, San Francisco's first outdoor barbershop. With almost 20,000 square feet of space, the open-air oasis offers socially distanced haircuts and shaves from more than 20 local barbers known for wielding mean hair buzzers, razors, and scissors. Naturally, masks are a must and serious sanitization plus touchless payments are all part of the dealio. Walk-ins are welcome but appointments are encouraged. Fresh cuts and fresh air may be the mane attraction, but the food trucks (Firetrail Pizza, Nucha Empanadas, Porkie SF), StrEat Brew Bar, TVs, and lively conversation add to the good time. P.S. Word on the StrEat is that the call has gone out for hair stylists specializing in women's cuts (star eyes emoji).

New clog alert! SF's Bryr has been cobbling away during the pandemic.

Bryr founder Isobel Schofield and her entire ladyboss team haven't let the coronavirus put the kibosh on their creativity—or clog output. Au contraire: In recent weeks, the Dogpatch studio, adored for its handcrafted leather clogs, sandals and epic sample sale, has released two new collections: the platform and the stack. The former includes four fresh styles (Norma, Ursi, Jesse and Stella) on a medium-low(ish) flat platform base in yummy shades; the latter includes the same styles but in all black, including a black (not natural) wooden base. Can you say perfect timing? Landscape designer Beth LaDove and textile connoisseur Caitlin McVarish opened Ground while people are super focused on zhuzhing their homes. Located in a former 10,000-square-foot Tiburon nursery, the indoor/outdoor living concept store is flush with lust-worthy items including plants, outdoor furniture (Fermob, Bend Designs, Galanter & Jones), garden sculptures and fixtures (Terra Trellis), home goods, and gift items. We're particularly excited about the hand-knotted rugs, tableware, textiles, ceramics, and apothecary. Indeed, the founders focused on filling their space with an eclectic mix of handcrafted, sustainable, and ethically sourced products from both local and global indie designers and artists.
