Fortress Festival

What: Head to the cultural district of Fort Worth to sing, dance and be merry with over 9,000 people for the second edition of Fortress. What: Music and food—that's what Austin does best. Get the flavor of both at Austin City Limits, one of the larger festivals on this list but a perennial favorite with eight stages, more than 110 bands, and two whole weekends of jams. The ACL Eats Food Court offers eats, drinks, and sweets from some of Austin's most renowned restaurants. If you've been waiting to check out this budding city, now's the time. Eaux Claires

What: Eaux Claires was founded in 2015 by Eau Claire native and Bon Iver frontman Justin Vernon and Aaron Dessner of The National.
