Cher for Hillary at Oasis


WHAT: Big news: Cher (yes, THE Cher) will be holding a Hillary Clinton fundraising event this Sunday in San Francisco. The one and only Goddess of Pop is rallying the community to support her preferred presidential candidate in an event called Love Trumps Hate—a Cher for Hillary Celebration. The night will be hosted by Oasis co-owner Heklina, but the rest of the deets are still hush-hush. Cher impersonator and Ru-Paul's Drag Race All-Stars season 1 winner Chad Michaels is the only performer listed on the line-up so far. Grab tickets here while they last!

Conversation with Chelsea Clinton at The Magic Factory

WHAT: Election season is in town, and we have another pro-Hillary event for you: Chelsea Clinton is coming to the city to speak at a Hillary Victory Fund event hosted by San Francisco designer Ken Fulk. The event, called Conversation with Chelsea, will be held in Fulk's studio located in the 1920's building affectionately known as "The Magic Factory" and is co-hosted by Uber's senior manager of product communications Chelsea Maughan Kohler, seasoned fundraiser Stefanie Roumeliotes, and Alex Mallick Williams, former associate director of Human Rights Watch and wife of Robin William's son Zak Williams.

Celebrate Día de los Muertos at The Mexican Museum

WHAT: The Mexican Museum is holding a very special family-friendly event in celebration of the Day of the Dead—a Latino holiday all about remembering departed loved ones and the unity between life and death. Creative festivities include making papier–mâché masks and painting calaveras alongside professional Bay Area face artists. Guests will also have a chance to make personalized, mini-altars for loved ones who have passed away, and are encouraged to bring printed photos or small items of remembrance.

WHAT: Feel no shame in pulling out your tourist hat and joining hundreds of locals in celebrating everyone's favorite pier. The Fisherman's Wharf Community Benefit District is putting on the fourth annual Wharf Fest this weekend, featuring arts vendors, a DJ, and fun activities such as a Segway obstacle course, rock climbing walls, and even a mechanical bull. This year's chowder competition features 10 restaurants to sip, taste, and vote for; Buy tasting tickets for that here, but enjoy the rest of the festival for free!

Celebrity Chef Mario Batali Speaks at Terrapin Crossroads

Hosted at the Terrapin Crossroads Restaurant in San Rafael, a $125 ticket to this tasty event includes a meal, wine, and a signed copy of Mario Batali: The Big American Cookbook.
