Bryr Sample Sale in Dogpatch

Shoe girls, keep it together: Our favorite local cobbler Bryr (listed in 7x7's Best of Bay Area 2016) is holding its very first sample sale on Saturday, July 30, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Hit up the Dogpatch studio for discounts of up to 70 percent off. You'll find samples, regular inventory and production seconds. All clogs, sandals and booties use made-in-America leather and solid wood bases, and they're handmade in the studio by founder/designer Isobel Schofield and her small team. Our advice? Grab a latte and a Valrhona chocolate claw at Neighbor Bakehouse, a few storefronts away, and hit the queue early. // 2331 Third St. (Dogpatch),

Rev up your wardrobe with a lightweight and super-soft lambskin leather moto jacket from new SF label Cat Wu.(Michael Bennett)

Meet Cat Wu Leather Moto Jackets

There are leather jackets and then there are leather jackets. The just-launched Cat Wu version certainly belongs in the latter category. The gorgeous moto jackets are crafted from the softest and thinnest (.6mm) Italian lambskin leather, lined in a signature watercolor silk print and feature classic moto details. But what really sets this perfect-for-SF layer apart is its lovely drape and close fit through the body and arms. (No one will ever think you, literally, borrowed your style from the boys.)

When she started her label, San Francisco-based designer Catherine Wu's mission was to create "timeless investment pieces in a rainbow of colors." Check and check: Each beauty sells for $1,150 and comes in navy, black, wine, and gray and black suede. The jackets, made by hand in Los Angeles, are available exclusively online. //

St. Frank Palo Alto Gets a Visit from Freda Salvador

We love this hip pairing so much, we're willing to face traffic on the 101 just to hang with the duo. The two-month-old St. Frank home accessories store in Town and Country Village is hosting a one-day Freda Salvador pop-up on Wednesday, July 27 (11 a.m.–8 p.m.). The Sausalito-based shoe label will be showing off its brand-new vintage trailer (soon to be road-tripping through the East Coast and Southwest) and its chic flats and boots, of course. What's the occasion? The finale of the mall's July Music Fest. Shopping all day, top-shelf classic tunes from 6 – 8 p.m. // 855 El Camino Real (Palo Alto)

Poshmark Expands Into Men's + Kids

Why should women have all the fun when it comes to buying and selling secondhand clothes and accessories? They shouldn't, which is why the five-year-old Redwood City-based Poshmark recently announced that men and kids can now get into the act, via the largest social-commerce fashion marketplace in the U.S. "By expanding into new categories, we are empowering our community to now buy and sell fashion for everyone in their life, with our same core principle of creating a platform powered by love that makes it possible for anyone to participate in the fashion economy," says Manish Chandra, Poshmark founder and CEO. Sounds like a closet-cleanout sesh for the entire fam is in order. // The new app update is available on iOS and Android.
