With the summer sun now bright and shining, there's no better time to workout under a cloudless sky. Lace up those Nikes, grab 32 fluid ounces of water, dab some sunscreen on the nape of your neck, and prepare to sweat out some of those summer indulgences. Here are five phenomenal outside workouts to do in San Francisco.
Evening Squad Runs
Every Thursday at the Lululemon on Grant Avenue, a small, dynamic running club meets to share stories, tips, and, of course, embark on an evening run. Angela Tieri leads the session, offering three-, four-, and six-mile routes. And don't worry about heading there right after work, you're more than welcome to stash-and-store any valuables inside the store while you run. // Thursdays, 6:15pm at Lululemon, 327 Grant Ave. (FiDi), info.lululemon.com/stores/us/san-francisco/unionsquare
Early Morning Bodyweight Bootcamp
What better way to kick off the day then burning off a few margaritas from the night before? On Thursdays at 6:30am, Katie Meirman leads a bootcamp session that covers all the bases—endurance, agility, and strength training. Be sure to park somewhere near the Alta Plaza Park where the group will meet. // $20, Thursdays, 6:30-7:30am at Alta Plaza Park, 2499 Steiner St. (Pac Heights), movewith.com/katiemerriman
Resistance Training on the Beach
Who would've thought that sand between your toes could be so helpful in toning the body? Trainer Alex Ho organizes an early morning resistance training session a few times a month where the sand acts as a tool to help you look even better in your favorite swimsuit. Be sure to take a look at his schedule to see when and where he'll be hosting his next "Barefoot on the Beach" workout. // $25, Aquatic Park Pier, See full schedule at movewith.com/alexho

Rooftop Yoga on 3rd Street
Breathe in, breathe out—and take in that view! The Cardiotone studio located on 3rd Street hosts rooftop Vinyasa-style sessions throughout the week either in the early morning hours (before 10am) or later in the evening (after 6pm). We'd recommend checking the forecast prior to your workout to make sure there's no rain. But, even if there's a sudden downpour, the session will be moved inside. // Cardiotone, 360 3rd St. (South Park), cardio-tone.zingfit.com/reserve
Rooftop Spin Class on 3rd Street
If yoga isn't your thing, Cardiotone also hosts rooftop spin classes at its 3rd Street location. So, go ahead, trade the yoga mat for a pair of spin shoes. Either way, you'll be sweating with a glorious view of San Francisco in splendid company. And what could be a better summer treat than that? // Cardiotone, 360 3rd St. (South Park), cardio-tone.zingfit.com/reserve
